Full Stack Developer

Adelaide SA (Hybrid)
Full Time: 37.5 hrs/wk
Contract length: 12 months, possibility of extension
Experience required: 8+ years
Requirements: must have strong experience in .NET and React

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly proficient Full Stack Developer to lead the design and delivery of a flagship digital application within the early childhood sector. This is the first stage of a multi-year program and will underpin business-critical operational and administrative functions used across the sector and broader government.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary digital team, alongside UX designers, data engineers, architects, and business analysts, to build a scalable, secure and accessible end-to-end solution. The application spans a modern React front end, .NET backend services, and a PostgreSQL relational database.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build application components across the full stack: UI, backend services and database
  • Integrate with internal and external systems via RESTful APIs and Microsoft Graph
  • Implement authentication and identity management via Azure B2C and SA IDX (myID)
  • Define and enforce development standards across front-end, backend and API layers
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on Azure DevOps
  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and application security best practices
  • Design relational database schemas for transactional, audit and configuration data
  • Configure monitoring, logging and diagnostics for production support
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical design independently

About you

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Full Stack or Application Developer on Azure
  • Strong hands-on experience with React, .NET / .NET Core, and PostgreSQL / SQL Server
  • Proven experience with Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, EntraID and Azure B2C
  • Solid grasp of OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect and secure session management
  • Experience designing scalable relational database schemas and backend API architecture
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and government security and compliance requirements
  • Able to work autonomously at pace with evolving requirements and no legacy system to reference
  • Strong communicator, comfortable across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Agile delivery experience is preferred but not essential
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a DHS Employee Working with Children Check
