    Position Overview
    This role is suited to an experienced Front End Developer / UI Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, accessible, and user-focused digital experiences. Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the design and development of modern digital services that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, human-centred solutions through iterative design, rapid prototyping, and front-end development practices.

    Key Duties

    • Design and develop user-centric interfaces aligned with established design systems and style guides
    • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
    • Translate design concepts into functional front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Collaborate with developers, designers, and researchers to deliver seamless digital experiences
    • Conduct and support usability testing and apply findings to improve interface design
    • Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) are met across all deliverables
    • Contribute to continuous improvement through iterative design and development processes

    Skills and Experience Required

    • Demonstrated experience in UI design and front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React or Angular)
    • Strong ability to work within established design systems and style guides
    • Proven experience translating usability testing insights into actionable design improvements
    • Sound understanding and application of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum)
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
    • Experience designing wireframes, prototypes, and interactive user interfaces
    • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary, agile environments
