About the role
Our client is seeking a confident and engaging Financial Literacy Facilitator to deliver an established financial capability program to primary and secondary students across Brisbane.
You will help students build practical money-management skills, set financial goals, navigate healthy conversations about money and understand their rights as young employees.
The successful candidate will initially provide additional facilitation support before taking responsibility for an existing facilitator’s school portfolio during a period of parental leave.
This is a flexible casual role averaging approximately 15-20 hours per week during school terms. You must be available for at least three weekdays, although availability across all five school days is strongly preferred.
The work is completed remotely from home and on-site at schools. Workshop days generally fall between 8:30am and 4:00pm, including arrival approximately 30 minutes before the first session and time to complete responsibilities afterwards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging financial literacy workshops in primary and secondary schools
- Present structured financial concepts in an age-appropriate and relatable way
- Create an energetic and inclusive environment that encourages student participation
- Manage groups of students confidently while maintaining workshop structure
- Learn and progressively deliver seven established workshop programs
- Deliver between one and five workshop sessions per day, depending on the school schedule
- Travel independently from home to schools across Brisbane and surrounding areas
- Build positive relationships with teachers, school staff and program stakeholders
- Complete workshop administration and provide feedback following each session
- Represent the program professionally within school environments

Requirements
- Experience in teaching, facilitation, presenting, performing or working with children
- Teachers, performers and people studying to become teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
- Confidence engaging both primary and secondary school-aged audiences
- A bubbly, energetic and approachable presentation style
- Strong stage presence and the ability to make structured content feel natural
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while keeping students engaged
- Capacity to learn and confidently deliver seven different workshops over time
- Availability for at least three weekdays during school terms, with five-day availability preferred
- Ability to travel independently to schools across Brisbane and surrounding areas
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- A current Working with Children Check, or eligibility to obtain one
- A genuine interest in financial literacy, education and community impact
Selection process
Shortlisted applicants will complete an initial interview that includes an approximately 10-minute facilitation audition. This provides an opportunity to demonstrate your personality, presentation style, stage presence and ability to bring structured content to life.
