This leading University has recently undergone a significant technological transformation, implementing the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to modernise its Finance and HR functions. They are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support the continued success of this transition within the Research Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain research agreement data within Workday, including deliverables and budget forecasts.
  • Update research records in response to project changes, stakeholder input, or evolving business needs.
  • Assist in issuing invoices, creating purchase orders, and preparing internal financial transfers and corrections.
  • Support the preparation of financial reconciliations and expenditure claims.
  • Contribute to data reconciliation and other financial administrative tasks as required.

Key skills & experience

  • A qualification in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a finance-related role within a large organisation.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, reporting, and transaction processing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience with Workday or other ERP systems highly regarded
