Facilities Manager - Service Transition
Our client is a major retail organization who are looking for experienced Facilities Operations Manager – Service Transition to lead the transition of cleaning services to a new vendor across a large, multi-site operational environment.
This is a initial 3-month contract with possibility for extension and a hybrid working arrangement.
This role would suit a Facilities Manager, Facilities Operations Manager, Workplace Services Manager, or Service Transition Manager who has previously managed outsourced service providers and delivered large-scale vendor transitions. Rather than a traditional IT Change Manager, this role requires someone who understands operational services, contractor management, stakeholder engagement, and the practical realities of transitioning services without impacting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end transition of cleaning services to a new vendor across a large multi-site environment
- Coordinate transition activities and help ensure services continue to operate smoothly throughout the change
- Work closely with vendors, operational teams, and key stakeholders to support delivery outcomes
- Manage relationships with incoming and outgoing vendors, internal stakeholders, and operational teams
- Assist with communications, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness activities
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide updates to project and business stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing facilities, workplace, or operational services across multi-site environments
- Demonstrated experience leading service transitions, vendor changes, mobilisations, or outsourced service contracts
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience managing cleaning, facilities management, workplace services, security, or maintenance contracts
- Retail or large-scale customer-facing environment experience (Highly Regarded)
- Experience transitioning cleaning services contracts (Highly Regarded)
