A growing insurance building business is seeking a Residential & Commercial Estimator to support the delivery of low-complexity insurance repair projects across domestic, strata, and commercial claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a midlevel individual in their estimating or construction career who enjoys working with numbers, coordinating multiple jobs, and building strong stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Working as part of a national services team, you’ll manage a portfolio of low-complexity claims from a desktop environment, supporting cost control, estimating accuracy, and project coordination from make-safe through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage estimates for low-complexity insurance repair works
  • Assist with budgets, purchase orders, and cost tracking
  • Review and reconcile contractor invoices and variations
  • Maintain accurate job records, schedules, and forecasting
  • Support monthly reporting, KPIs, and estimator conversion targets
  • Liaise with internal teams, insurers, loss adjusters, and contractors
  • Ensure estimates and variations align with policy and scope requirements
  • Contribute to quality, safety, and compliance standards

About You

  • Some experience in estimating, construction coordination, insurance building, or trade support roles
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with good organisational skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple jobs and deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy (Excel experience highly regarded)
  • Exposure to insurance repairs or estimating software is advantageous but not essential
