Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to play a critical role in the delivery of a major ERP transformation program. Working across business and technical teams, you will be responsible for migrating complex data from legacy platforms into a modern ERP environment, ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity and business readiness throughout the migration lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile government transformation program while working with modern Azure-based data technologies and experienced project teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from legacy systems into a new ERP platform.
  • Perform data profiling, mapping, transformation, reconciliation and validation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and execute migration scripts, load files and migration processes across test and production environments.
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues while supporting migration planning, testing and cutover activities.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical specialists and project teams to deliver successful migration outcomes.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience delivering data migration activities for large ERP projects or programs.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL design and execution.
  • Proven experience in data extraction, transformation, mapping, cleansing and loading of large, complex datasets.
  • Experience performing data reconciliation, validation, testing and quality remediation activities.
  • Strong understanding of migration methodologies, best practices and data governance principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting ERP cutover, migration planning or legacy data archiving will be highly regarded.
