Our client is a leading Queensland-based organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation as part of a broader enterprise program. This initiative focuses on modernising financial planning, reporting and systems to support better business outcomes and decision-making.

About the role

The Plan to Perform (P2P) Business Analyst will support the P2P Lead in the implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning (EPM). You will play a critical role in designing, testing and deploying future-state finance processes, planning models and reporting structures aligned to business needs and best practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the P2P Lead in designing and validating the chart of accounts, dimensions, organisational structure and reporting structure in the EPM.
  • Partner with P2P Lead and System Integrators to identify and resolve design gaps and issues.
  • Support the P2P Lead in identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Assist in defining future state planning models and reporting within the P2P taxonomy.
  • Support data migration activities for EPM.
  • Document future-state processes and controls in line with financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Perform hands-on testing of P2P processes during system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Contribute to cutover planning and execution, ensuring accurate closing balances and reconciliations move into the new systems.
  • Support compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting needs.
  • Work with finance teams to validate management reporting

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • CA/CPA (or equivalent) highly regarded
  • 3-5 years’ experience in FP&A and management reporting
  • Experience in finance transformation or system implementation projects
  • Exposure to Workday Adaptive or similar EPM tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across Finance and IT
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data and reporting controls
  • Experience supporting testing, change management and training activities
