We are seeking an organised and hands-on Environment & Release Specialist to support a large enterprise technology environment undergoing significant transformation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order in complex delivery environments. You will build the calendars, registers, templates and documentation needed to coordinate non-production environments effectively, while supporting testing, releases and deployments across multiple projects.

The Role

Working closely with project teams, application support, infrastructure, integration specialists, vendors and the Change Advisory Board, you will:

  • Create, own and maintain a central calendar covering environment usage, releases, patching and project activities
  • Coordinate environment availability and bookings across development, test, UAT and pre-production
  • Document each environment’s purpose, configuration, ownership and current status
  • Develop and maintain environment maps, registers, schedules, templates and run sheets
  • Map application environments to connected systems and integration environments
  • Maintain accurate records of endpoints, integration points and connection settings
  • Coordinate environment freezes, refreshes and change windows
  • Support releases and deployments in line with agreed delivery schedules
  • Prepare environments for integration testing, UAT, regression testing and cutover rehearsals
  • Coordinate test data provisioning and ensure appropriate masking and security controls are applied
  • Represent environment-related activities through CAB and change-management processes
  • Identify and resolve environment conflicts, constraints and incidents before they affect delivery
  • Communicate environment schedules, risks and impacts clearly to technical and project stakeholders
You will bring …

  • At least two years’ experience in environment coordination, release and deployment support, application support, infrastructure, DevOps or a related role
  • Practical experience working with development, test, UAT or production environments
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, schedules, registers or trackers
  • Exposure to releases, deployments, change processes or integration environments
  • A practical understanding of environment dependencies and how applications connect across a technology landscape
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams, vendors and workstreams
  • Clear communication and confident stakeholder-management skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership from planning through to completion
  • The ability to remain calm and reliable during releases, incidents and critical delivery period
Nice to have…

  • Experience using Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence, or comparable tools
  • Exposure to ITIL, change management or release management practices
  • Knowledge of Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies
  • Experience with test data, data masking or environment refresh activities
  • A relevant qualification in information technology, business or a related discipline
