The Role: This Government Agency is seeking an Enterprise Data Modeller to be responsible for assessing and documenting the current state of the enterprise data landscape, defining the target state architecture, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and data design.

The Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the Enterprise Data Model (conceptual, logical, and physical), ensuring alignment with business strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Analyse the current state of systems, databases, APIs, middleware, and data flows to map and document existing enterprise data assets and identify data duplication or fragmentation.
  • Develop future state data models to support modern digital platforms and enterprise systems, including integration across CRM, Finance, HR, regulatory, and legacy environments.
  • Define and document key data entities, attributes, relationships, business rules, reference data, and data quality constraints to support consistency and reusability.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architect, data engineer, and business SMEs to ensure data models support both operational processes and analytics/reporting requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in enterprise-level data modelling, data design, or equivalent roles within complex organisational environments.
  • Proven expertise in developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models across large-scale, multi-system ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data warehousing, dimensional modelling, relational and non-relational data design.
  • Proficiency in enterprise data modelling tools, such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Erwin Data Modeler, or ER/Studio.
  • Experience working across diverse technology landscapes, including CRM, HRIS, Financial systems, legacy applications, and modern cloud platforms.
