
Enterprise Architect
Opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Architect to help shape the strategic, digital, and operational future of one of Australia’s most innovative institutions. Working closely with key business leaders and academic stakeholders your brand new role will be to define and evolve enterprise architecture. You’ll ensure solutions are scalable, secure, future-aligned-and truly transformative.
Key activities
- Develop enterprise-wide architecture strategies, including roadmaps, blueprints, and reference architectures.
- Translate strategic goals into technology solutions by collaborating with business units and senior leadership.
- Guide and support Solution Architects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term vision.
- Lead architectural governance and compliance processes, embedding best practices across all technology domains.
- Assess current and future capabilities, identifying gaps and shaping improvement initiatives.
- Drive integration and data strategy, working across platforms, APIs, microservices, and cloud ecosystems.
- Contribute to project delivery, ensuring new solutions align with architectural and organisational goals.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid experience as an Enterprise Architect in large, complex environments
- Strong understanding of integration architecture (ESB, ETL/ELT, microservices, APIs-MuleSoft a plus)
- Experience in data, analytics and AI platforms
- Knowledge of digital asset management, research infrastructure, smart campus, ERP/CRM/LMS systems
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and architectural governance
- Strategic mindset, practical problem-solving, and strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with EA frameworks like TOGAF and tools such as Essential Cloud
- Familiarity with higher education tech (e.g. Workday, Salesforce, Campus Solutions, Canvas) will be advantageous
