Electrical Project Engineer

12 Month Contract | FIFO 2:1 | $80-95/hr + Super

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a major renewable energy infrastructure project delivering utility-scale power generation and high-voltage electrical assets.

Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, you will provide engineering support across detailed design, construction, commissioning, energisation and final project handover.

Responsibilities

Support electrical engineering throughout project delivery
Review electrical designs and contractor submissions
Resolve RFIs, technical queries and design issues
Monitor construction progress against schedule and budget
Coordinate engineering interfaces between contractors, consultants and OEMs
Support FATs, SATs and commissioning activities
Review ITPs, commissioning documentation and as-built records
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and electrical safety requirements
Manage quality, defects and commissioning punch lists
Provide technical leadership across HV electrical systems

Experience Required

Electrical Engineering degree
5+ years’ experience delivering major electrical infrastructure projects
HV Substations
Power Distribution
Protection & Control
Switchgear
Transformers
Utility-scale Solar (preferred)
Battery Energy Storage Systems (preferred)
Commissioning and Energisation experience
Contractor management experience

Desirable

CPEng (or working towards)
Mining experience
Renewable Energy experience
