EL1 Technical Business Analyst

Talent International is currently recruiting for an EL1 Technical Business Analyst to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in Surry Hills. The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays between $700 to $850 per day + Super.

7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week

The Opportunity

As an EL1 Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering complex, high-impact initiatives. You’ll work across business and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions are well documented, and outcomes align with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business, program, and technical stakeholders to elicit, define, and manage requirements
  • Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, simple documentation
  • Support both Agile and traditional delivery, including backlog refinement and requirements gathering
  • Facilitate workshops and perform business process modelling, data analysis, and solution design
  • Work closely with project managers to translate requirements into deliverables
  • Document systems, integrations, and processes across the project lifecycle
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for improvements
  • Support internal systems and integrations across multiple business units
  • Engage effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, delivering high-impact projects
  • Strong experience in workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand technical environments
  • 3+ years’ experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • 3+ years supporting internal enterprise systems (ERP, HR, recruitment, LMS, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience delivering complex, integrated technology solutions across multiple teams
  • Exposure to both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies

Additional Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
  • Standard hours: 7.5 hours/day | 37.5 hours/week
