About the Role
As the EL1 Specialist Advisor, you will spearhead efforts to develop a robust employee suitability framework that spans the entirety of the employment lifecycle. Your role will encompass advisement on potential workforce risks, enhancement of pre-employment screening processes, and ongoing monitoring of employee suitability. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring best practices and integrity standards are seamlessly integrated into recruitment and workforce management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of employee suitability frameworks.
  • Provide expert analysis and guidance on workforce suitability and risk-based controls.
  • Strengthen pre-employment screening processes to mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop ongoing suitability assessment approaches for the workforce.
  • Work collaboratively with business areas on suitability considerations and compliance.
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, and guidance materials.
  • Engage with stakeholders and prepare high-quality reports, advice, and briefings.
  • Mentor staff and promote integrity awareness across all levels of the organisation.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in personnel security, suitability assessment, or related integrity roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex personal information against defined standards.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, especially in formal documentation.
  • Experience leading governance processes and integrity programs.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in personnel security or integrity-related fields.

  • Security Clearance: Baseline clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
