EL1 Risk Officer

• Contract through to December 2026 with possible extension options
• National role – Up to $602.55 plus Super per day
• Australian Citizenship required – no security clearance required
• Experience in assurance, governance, audit, risk management and program oversight highly regarded

We are seeking an experienced Risk Officer to support assurance and governance activities within a major national transformation program. This role will play a key part in coordinating assurance activities, analysing assurance outcomes and supporting executive decision-making through high-quality reporting, risk oversight and governance support.

Your duties will include:

• Coordinating assurance activities across internal, external and independent providers
• Managing assurance schedules, evidence collection and audit readiness activities
• Analysing assurance findings, risks and emerging issues across the program
• Preparing executive reports, committee papers and governance documentation
• Maintaining assurance registers, actions, recommendations and reporting tools
• Supporting continuous improvement of assurance frameworks and processes

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in assurance, governance, audit or risk management functions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify trends
• Experience preparing executive-level reports and briefing materials
• Knowledge of assurance frameworks, governance processes and control environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Experience working in government, regulatory or large-scale transformation environments
