Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proven leadership in strategic policy development and reform implementation
  • Excellent judgement and governance capabilities
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and environments
  • Effective stakeholder relationship management
  • Experience in policy analysis, data interpretation, and preparing reports, briefings, and presentations
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee complex projects with agency-wide impact
  • Risk assessment and management expertise

Nice to Have Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and Commonwealth procurement rules
  • Experience with strategic commissioning and disability sector insights
  • Experience leading teams within the public sector to deliver reform policies and programs

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Public Policy, Management, or related disciplines
  • Extensive experience in program or project management within the public sector, ideally within policy reform contexts

Other Requirements

  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and complex issues with discretion and professionalism
  • Willingness to engage in cross-agency collaboration and stakeholder engagement activities
