
EL1 Data and Analytics Delivery Manager
The opportunity:
Our highly valued client is a federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Data and Analytics Delivery Manager to manage cross functional teams to deliver the strategic data assets and data products roadmap.
- Richmond location plus hybrid work-from-home
- 12 month initial contract + 12 month extension, rates fully negotiable
- Role only open to Australian Citizens – Federal government client
The role:
Your duties will include:
- Lead a Data and/or Analytics team to deliver project outcomes to a high quality, managing risks and issues along the way
- Manage a project schedule to ensure continued alignment between the delivery team and impacted internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and manage dependencies between the responsible delivery objectives and other project or business areas
- Ensure a high degree of traceability and documentation within the delivery team to enable prompt and efficient reviews and approvals of deliverables
- Review and provide feedback on business and technical design documents to ensure designs align with expected business outcomes, as captured by business and technical requirements.
- Input to the design and implementation of solutions that deliver to the business and technical requirements and meet the expected business and technical outcomes.
Skills and experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated expertise leading Data and/or Analytics teams to deliver change programs to achieve identified business objectives and benefits
- Demonstrated expertise managing skilled data and/or analytics resources and ensuring a high level of quality in the team’s output, while balancing delivery timeline pressures
- Demonstrated expertise constructing a detailed plan of activity to discover, conceptualise, design, build and implement data assets and data products using industry best practice delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile, Prince2, PMBOK)
- Experience working in agile and hybrid models to develop data products utilising JIRA to plan, track and measure progress and productivity
- Experience working with, and positively influencing, internal and external stakeholders to autonomously identify and overcome delivery risks and issues
- Experience managing and maintaining a project schedule to ensure dependencies with other delivery teams are identified and managed to prevent risks and ensure a quality outcome
- Experience interpreting Data Security policy and distilling actionable requirements from the policy
- Hands on data analysis skills using contemporary analytics capabilities (e.g. SQL, Python)
- Experience using common project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
- Experience using contemporary project documentation tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA)
