Early Resolution Officer
As an Early Resolution Officer, you’ll be the first point of assessment for complaints relating to the service and conduct of Victorian lawyers. You’ll review complex matters, gather and assess information, communicate with complainants and legal practitioners, and determine the most appropriate pathway for resolution.
It is a 3 months contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Assess enquiries and complaints relating to the service and conduct of Victorian lawyers.
- Review and analyse large volumes of information to determine appropriate outcomes.
- Conduct early resolution of service-related complaints through negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify matters requiring formal investigation and make appropriate referrals.
- Provide clear guidance on regulatory processes and consumer rights.
- Maintain accurate case records and prepare high-quality written documentation.
You’ll ideally have experience in:
- A regulator, government agency or statutory authority.
- Complaints handling, investigations or dispute resolution.
- High-volume case assessment or case management.
- Courts, tribunals or legal support environments.
- A law firm, community legal centre, or a paralegal or junior legal role.
