
Director Parliamentary Services
Seeking an experienced senior professional to join a State Government department as Director Executive and Parliamentary Services. Reporting directly to a senior executive, this role provides high-level advice across a range of complex and sensitive matters to ensure that priority issues are addressed effectively, efficiently, and with credibility.
Operating in an environment of competing priorities and dynamic demands, this position requires excellent judgement, political acumen, and the ability to work with discretion. With a small team of two to three direct reports alongside, you will collaborate and negotiate with members of the executive and senior representatives across government, Parliament, and the private sector, while also engaging with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic and procedural advice relevant to Members and processes associated with the 42nd Parliament
- Contributing to the preparation of high-quality briefings for Parliamentary Committees
- Monitoring parliamentary proceedings (including Hansard) and committee reports
- Supporting high-level engagement and communication with Parliament and key stakeholders through tailored advice and insights that reflect evolving expectations and protocols
