APS6 DevOps Engineer
Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension option
Location: Multiple locations (Hybrid – minimum 3 days/week onsite)
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

The opportunity:
We’re looking for an APS6 DevOps Engineer to uplift CI/CD, automation and observability across enterprise platforms. You’ll work in a modern delivery environment where reliability, deployment quality, and fast feedback loops matter-supporting teams to release safely and consistently.
What you’ll do (DevOps focus)
- Build, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines (build/test/deploy) with a focus on reliability and repeatability
- Drive deployment automation and reduce manual release overhead
- Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards and operational metrics (performance, availability, user metrics)
- Troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues; improve incident resolution through better tooling and automation
- Develop scripts/tools to streamline engineering workflows and reduce operational toil
- Support API delivery and integration with engineering tooling (GitLab/Jira/Teams)
Must-have skills
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab including GitLab CI/CD in an enterprise environment (pipelines, runners, build/deploy, monitoring)
- Strong DevOps capability across CI/CD, automation, deployment, monitoring/observability
- Commercial experience with Node.js + TypeScript
- Python experience (automation/scripting and/or backend)
- Experience with Jira and modern developer tooling (e.g., VS Code)
- Clear communicator-able to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
Nice to have
- GitLab pipeline optimisation and governance (templates, reusable components, quality gates)
- Accessibility-aware development practices
- Experience with advanced automation approaches (e.g., intelligent CI/CD workflows)
