DevOps Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who will be working closely with development teams to provide (and support) the environment needed to deliver the organisation’s services quickly and efficiently, using automation and self-service.

Duties:

  • Design, develop, deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scripting, programming and automation tools to streamline operations.
  • Apply knowledge of DevOps practices, containerisation and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
  • Optimise cloud performance by configuring resources, implementing robust security measures, automating workflows, and ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to enhance cloud environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and enable continuous software delivery.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for CI/CD toolsets, resolving performance and integration challenges.
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships across teams and provide mentorship to support knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Effectively manage time and workload to consistently meet project deadlines.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experienced in developing hybrid and AWS cloud solutions, with strong skills in automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI and AWS CodePipeline, and multiple scripting and programming languages.
  • Skilled across network, security, storage and systems engineering in Linux-based environments, with sound knowledge of cloud-native architecture.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure meets governance, compliance and security standards, and communicate complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders.
