Desktop Support Specialist Level 2
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Level 2 Desktop Support Specialist to join a high-performing Digital & Technology Services team supporting a large enterprise ICT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, device deployment, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer support while working in a structured enterprise IT environment.
You will play a key role in supporting device lifecycle management, hardware refresh programs, and end-user device transitions across a large organisation.
About the Role
Working within a collaborative Service Delivery Management team, you will assist with hardware replacement, device deployment, and ICT support services to ensure seamless transitions for end users.
You will contribute to the installation, maintenance, deployment, and support of enterprise ICT systems, while ensuring a strong focus on customer experience and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise ICT environments and systems
- Assist with software deployment and operating system imaging
- Provide support for Microsoft 365, desktop and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Apply knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN) in troubleshooting activities
- Support the deployment and replacement of ICT hardware and software across multiple sites
- Provide advice and technical guidance to staff at all organisational levels
- Work within an ITIL-based service delivery framework to manage incidents and requests
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments within a large organisation
- Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve ICT support issues
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with operating system deployment or device imaging
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving
- Ability to work on-site in Brisbane CBD (5 days per week)
- Ability to undertake manual handling (up to 15kg) and equipment movement as part of device deployment activities
Desirable Experience
- Device imaging and SOE deployment
- Endpoint support in enterprise environments
- Microsoft 365 support
- Hardware refresh or device replacement programs
- Experience working in ITIL-based service environments
- Enterprise Level 2 desktop support
