About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a high-performing digital team delivering whole-of-government services to Queenslanders. This role plays a key part in designing and improving customer-focused digital services, with a strong emphasis on forms, end-to-end service design, and human-centred design practices.

You’ll work within a cross-functional, agile environment, partnering closely with product, delivery, and technology teams to design services that are simple, accessible, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end service design initiatives to improve customer and business outcomes

  • Design and facilitate customer research, co-design workshops, and stakeholder sessions

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and translate insights into actionable design outcomes

  • Produce high-quality service design artefacts including journey maps, personas, service blueprints, user flows, wireframes, and low-fidelity prototypes

  • Contribute to agile delivery from discovery through to implementation

  • Apply and evolve design patterns, components, and platform features to validate solutions

About You

  • Proven experience as a Service Designer within complex digital or government environments

  • Strong background in human-centred design and service design methodologies

  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams

  • Ability to clearly communicate insights and design recommendations to diverse stakeholders

  • Experience designing digital services and forms is highly desirable
