A client of ours, a global leader in advanced engineering and technology solutions supporting Defence and government partners, is looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager to join their Newcastle-based team.

This role supports a Commonwealth project that is nearing completion and would suit someone who enjoys bringing complex Defence projects safely over the line, without the Canberra commute or posting churn.

What you’ll be doing;

* Supporting day-to-day delivery of a Defence project
* Conducting schedule reviews, monthly rolling wave updates, and status reporting
* Coordinating PPR-IP reporting, drafting reports, and managing stakeholder inputs
* Providing monthly status data to schedulers for OPP updates
* Reviewing costs, budgets, progress, and financial forecasts
* Running regular risk reviews and maintaining position updates
* Managing WHS verification activities
* Conducting CDRL delivery response letters and reviewing PM deliverables
* Reviewing and staffing Contract Change Proposals for approval
* Liaising closely with PM, PSO, Project Controller, Scheduler, and Finance teams

What you’ll bring;

* NV1 security clearance
* Eligibility to access US Export Controlled, ITAR information
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant project management role
* Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting capability

Nice to have;

* Experience working on CASG projects
