Deputy Product Manager
- Permanent Full-Time opportunity
- Canberra location only – onsite
- Must hold minimum NV1 clearance
The Role
This is a high-impact role supporting a cyber mission program that sustains critical information warfare products. As the Deputy Product Manager, you’ll be the key link between users, product teams, and operations-ensuring in-service support needs are planned, prioritised, and delivered, while strengthening stakeholder relationships and keeping product reporting and events running smoothly.
Your duties will include:
- Manage in-service product support including problems, issues, and defects, coordinating across delivery and support teams
- Liaise regularly with user units to capture support needs and ensure the right outcomes are delivered
- Plan and schedule user support requirements into team sprint cycles and coordinate operational demand with the Operations Team
- Produce accurate product line reporting and maintain accountability, traceability, and compliance
- Develop product collateral (slides, diagrams, brochures) and support product demonstrations and stakeholder communications
- Support the Product Manager across the product lifecycle, including triage of user stories/defects, risk management, documentation review, and acting for the PdM when required
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Bachelor degree in ICT (or related discipline) plus Project Management qualifications
- Experience in project management within technology-focused environments
- Strong working knowledge of ICT and/or cyber security, with the ability to engage confidently with technical teams
- Proven capability using Agile processes to interpret stakeholder user stories and manage expectations
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, able to build relationships across complex communities
- Ability to deliver outcomes in tight timeframes, with a proactive leadership style and strong teamwork approach
