At AVEC, we partner with organisations to deliver technology initiatives that drive real business outcomes. We are seeking a Delivery Manager / Scrum Master who will be embedded within a financial services client delivering BAU initiatives within Enterprise Technology.

This role sits close to the work. You will be in the rhythm of delivery every day, shaping how teams plan, track, and execute.

Your focus is quality delivery, running initiatives from concept through to successful completion, keeping them moving without losing grip on quality or process.

What the role involves

  • Leading technology initiatives from inception through to deployment and transition.
  • Delivering multiple initiatives in parallel, each with its own stakeholders, cadence, and delivery outcomes.
  • When delivery slows or blockers sit unresolved, you step in. That might mean tightening up backlog quality, getting clarity on scope, or working directly with technical leads to move work forward.
  • You will lead the adoption of improved delivery practices across cross functional teams. That includes introducing better sprint discipline, clearer tracking of dependencies, and more reliable reporting.

People who do well at AVEC are structured in how they approach delivery. They are comfortable holding teams to a standard and can course correct without creating friction. We keep things moving without overcomplicating the process and our teams are confident switching between initiatives without losing detail. Our teams need to pick things up quickly, ask the right questions, and get involved where needed, whether that is facilitating a session, resolving a blocker, or tightening up how the team is tracking progress.

Experience we are looking for:

  • Solid experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Manager working across multiple initiatives at once.
  • Experience managing initiatives from inception through to implementation and business transition.
  • Strong grounding in Agile delivery with a clear view on what good looks like in practice.
  • Track history of improving throughput, velocity and quality through strong continuous improvement discipline
  • Process oriented with experience introducing or improving delivery processes across teams.
  • Comfort working across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to corporate technology environments such as finance, HR, procurement etc. is useful.

Why this role stands out:

The work is varied. You are not tied to a single program. You will see different teams, different problems, and different delivery challenges.

There is also space to shape how delivery is done. If you have a clear view on improving ways of working and can bring others with you, it will be noticed.

If you prefer being close to delivery, working across multiple streams, and lifting standards as you go, this role is for you.
