Delivery Lead

The Opportunity
This is a two-year fixed term contract to assist Wellington Water in undertaking a major modernisation of its Information Management systems. The Delivery Lead will play a central role in shaping and executing this workstream. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of a SharePointOnline implementation and related systems uplift, while helping to embed modern delivery practices in a maturing environment. This is a newly created role with real scope to influence outcomes and culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of a key workstream within a large-scale digital transformation
- Establish clear plans and delivery structures for a greenfield SharePoint Online implementation
- Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders including vendors, tech leads, and business owners
- Support cross-functional team development and agile ways of working
- Provide reporting, risk and issue oversight, and continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale technology change programmes (ideally 5+ years in PM or delivery lead roles)
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Exposure to projects involving SharePoint or other information management systems
- Comfort working in ambiguity and helping shape delivery frameworks from the ground up
- High EQ and a calm, collaborative communication style that brings others on the journey

Wellington Water is the professional water services provider across Greater Wellington and South Wairarapa. Their job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed.
