Data Test analyst

• 12 months with a 12-month extension option
• ACT, NSW, VIC
• Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain NV1 security clearance
• Data quality testing, ETL processes, SQL, and experience with JIRA

Role
Are you a skilled Data Test Analyst looking to make a meaningful impact? This is your chance to join a dynamic team and contribute to critical projects. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring data quality and accuracy, supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Your duties will include:

• Developing Test Plans aligned with the Test Strategy, project release plan, and delivery methodology
• Creating Test Execution Plans and Test Cases, including detailed test steps, data requirements, and success criteria
• Conducting data, functional, and system integration testing based on documented Test Cases
• Supporting and assisting the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase when required
• Preparing and distributing test summary reports and providing regular status updates on testing activities
• Collaborating with developers, business analysts, SMEs, and third-party vendors to review test artefacts and resolve defects

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Strong understanding of data quality principles and testing methodologies
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in analysing and testing data quality, detecting anomalies, and validating data accuracy
• Proficiency in data warehouse concepts and ETL processes
• Advanced SQL skills and experience in writing effective test cases
• Familiarity with JIRA for manual testing and defect reporting
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
