Data Program Manager // Financial Services

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Program Manager to lead the delivery of a new enterprise data warehouse within a complex Insurance or Financial Services environment. This role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end program delivery, coordinating multiple workstreams across data engineering, architecture, analytics, and business teams to ensure successful implementation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience delivering large-scale data platforms, cloud data warehouses, and data transformation programs, with the ability to manage stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a new enterprise data warehouse program, ensuring alignment with business strategy and data governance frameworks.

  • Manage multiple project streams including data architecture, data engineering, integration, analytics, reporting, and data governance.

  • Define and manage program roadmap, delivery plans, budgets, and timelines.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, BI developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

  • Work closely with enterprise architecture and data governance teams to ensure alignment with data standards, security, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee data migration, integration, and transformation activities from legacy systems into the new data warehouse environment.

  • Identify and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and change impacts.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and executive reporting, ensuring clear communication of progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Ensure delivery supports data-driven decision making, reporting, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytics capabilities.

  • Facilitate Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks across program teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager delivering large-scale data or analytics programs.

  • Strong experience delivering data warehouse, data lake, or enterprise data platform implementations.

  • Experience within Insurance or Financial Services environments.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, and analytics platforms.

  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g” Databricks).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-stream programs with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience across business leaders, technology teams, and vendors.

  • Experience delivering data transformation and modernisation programs.

  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Hybrid).

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Able to manage ambiguity and drive outcomes in complex environments.
