Data Product Manager

Location: Brisbane, CBD (2 days WFH)

Contract: 12 months

Rate: $1,202.56 per day inc super (based on 8 hours)

Talent is currently seeking a Data Product Manager to join a large Queensland Government based Department located in Brisbane, CBD.

The Opportunity:

As the Data Product Manager, you’ll own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of enterprise data products that support informed decision-making across the organisation. You’ll collaborate with business leaders, architects, data engineers, analysts and Product Owners to prioritise initiatives, drive Agile delivery and ensure products continue to deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for enterprise data products.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog based on business value and strategic objectives.
• Lead multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams to deliver high-quality data products.
• Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders and translate business needs into delivery outcomes.
• Champion Agile ways of working and continuous product improvement.
• Ensure data governance, security, privacy and quality standards are embedded throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver scalable, reusable enterprise data solutions.
• Monitor product performance, adoption and business benefits.

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

• Proven experience managing data, analytics or digital products.
• Strong experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience delivering enterprise data platforms, Business Intelligence or analytics solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience developing product roadmaps, managing backlogs and prioritising competing initiatives.
• Knowledge of data governance, information management and data quality principles.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
• Previous experience working within a large enterprise or government environment will be highly regarded.
