Data Architect – Azure / Databricks

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to support the implementation of a large-scale Enterprise Data Platform within a highly regulated environment.

This role will focus on defining and governing enterprise data architecture, preparing implementation-ready datasets, and working closely with delivery partners and internal stakeholders to ensure successful platform implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and govern enterprise data architecture within an Azure Databricks environment
• Define dimensional models, conformed dimensions, canonical entities, and integration patterns
• Develop architecture standards across bronze, silver, and gold data layers
• Prepare source-to-target mappings, business rules, data quality controls, and governance requirements
• Review and assure vendor/System Integrator deliverables
• Support secure self-service analytics, reporting, and future advanced analytics capabilities
• Produce architecture documentation, standards, and transition artefacts

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with Azure cloud data platforms and Databricks
• Expertise in enterprise data modelling and medallion architecture
• Experience with data governance, security, RBAC, lineage, and audit controls
• Strong stakeholder engagement and architecture governance capability
• Experience working within regulated or high-security environments highly regarded
