The purpose of the Data Architect is to lead the development of our Victorian government clients Data Architecture and strategy and requirements for data analysis, design and solution delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between business and technical teams to deliver data and analytics outcomes.
  • Work with the CDO and stakeholders to define requirements, manage demand, and support delivery planning.
  • Develop high-level solution designs and roadmaps for data warehousing and legacy platform transitions.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams and external vendors to deliver data solutions.
  • Translate the Information Management strategy into practical, high-quality technical solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet standards and intent.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience working as a Data Architect
  • Strong experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to analyse requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Proven experience in data architecture, data modelling, and analytics design methodologies.
  • Experience designing solutions using cloud technologies and data visualisation platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and AI-enabled solutions (highly desirable).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
