We are seeking a Data Architect to work on the implementation of data governance frameworks, and provide support leveraging Microsoft Data stacks.

Context:

The team is currently in conjunction with consultants undertaking two key initiatives to develop:

  1. Data Standards and Design Principles
  2. Data Governance & Quality Framework

The resource will play an active role in embedding and supporting these initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Assist in defining and documenting data ownership, stewardship, and quality processes.
  • Contribute to the development of metadata management and data cataloguing practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and design for data solutions including schemas & data models using Microsoft technologies (e.g. Azure Data Services, Power BI, SQL Server, Fabric, Purview).
  • Assist in integratiing governance practices into data platforms and workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Develop document templates for data management.
  • Identify critical data assets and dependencies to support governance and architecture decisions.
  • Ensure data lineage and flow documentation aligns with compliance and security requirements.
