Data Analyst | Data Migration Program

Talent is partnering with a leading insurance organisation to recruit a Data Analyst to support a major data migration program. This role will play an important part in analysing legacy datasets, validating data, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information as it moves to a new data platform.

This is a great opportunity to work on a large-scale transformation initiative, collaborating with data engineers, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret legacy data sources to support a large-scale data migration program.

  • Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data.

  • Support data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities throughout the migration process.

  • Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Assist with identifying data quality issues and anomalies, and help drive resolution.

  • Document data logic, rules, and migration outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Financial Services experience is a must (Insurance is highly desirable)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets.

  • Experience supporting data migration, transformation, or data platform initiatives.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret large datasets and identify data quality issues.

  • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience within financial services environments is highly regarded, with insurance exposure a plus.
