Our client is a large values-focused Federal Government Agency seeking an experienced APS6 Data Analyst to deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and dashboards to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across a complex operational environment.

ROLE DETAILS

Role: Data Analyst (APS6 level)
Rate: $60.26 + Super hourly
Locations (VIC only): Richmond OR Geelong
Duration: Initial term until 31st December 2026 (extensions likely)
Eligibility: Australian Citizen (mandatory – Federal Government)
Closes: Wednesday 20th May

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will develop dashboards, reports and data visualisations (Power Query experience highly desirable) and provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning, stakeholder engagement and operational improvement initiatives.

Please note this role is only open to Australian Citizens (Federal Government).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver data analysis, dashboards, benefits reporting and data visualisations for decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Support workforce planning and recruitment activities by translating workforce designs into modellable inputs and FTE forecasts
  • Engage stakeholders and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to align priorities
  • Apply advanced data-driven methods to resolve complex issues, assess risks and contribute to improvements within a policy/legislation environment

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong data analysis and reporting capability with experience building dashboards/visualisations (Power Query highly desirable)
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and operate in complex environments with competing priorities
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail, and confidence working with numbers and large datasets
  • Desirable: Experience or understanding of disability/health/allied health sectors
