About the Role

We’re working with a Federal Government/Defence client seeking a Dynamics 365 / Power Platform Developer who brings a strong business analysis mindset.
This is not a pure coding role – you’ll sit between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions across Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather, interpret and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Configure and customise:
  • Entities, forms, views, dashboards and business rules
• Build solutions using:
  • Power Apps (Model-Driven & Canvas)
  • Power Automate workflows
• Implement client-side customisations using JavaScript
• Contribute to solution design, architecture discussions, and code reviews
• Support CI/CD pipelines and ALM processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments
• Maintain clear and structured technical documentation
• Support production systems, including incident resolution and root cause analysis

What You’ll Bring

• 2-5 years’ experience with Dynamics 365 (CE) and Dataverse
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform
• Strong understanding of:
  • Business processes and translating requirements into solutions
• Experience with:
  • Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
  • Power Automate
  • JavaScript (client-side scripting)
• Familiarity with Agile environments or managed services delivery
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Technical Skills

• Dynamics 365 CE (Sales, Customer Service or custom modules)
• Dataverse (tables, relationships, security model)
• Solution lifecycle management (managed/unmanaged solutions, deployments)
• Business Process Flows and workflows
• Power Platform environment and solution management
• Role-based security in Dataverse

Nice to Have

• Experience within Defence or large Federal Government environments
• Exposure to secure development practices and compliance standards

Requirements

• Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
• Active NV1 Security Clearance
