About the Role

Working within a complex industrial environment, you will play a key role in safeguarding both IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems. You’ll contribute to strengthening cyber resilience across sites, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and protecting critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across IT and OT environments
  • Implement and manage security controls across endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, and industrial systems
  • Apply and maintain security frameworks and standards, including:
    • ACSC Essential Eight
    • ISO/IEC 27001
    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework
    • CIS Critical Security Controls
  • Support Identity and Access Management (IAM), including MFA and conditional access across corporate and site-based systems
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits, including operational environments
  • Investigate security incidents and lead incident response activities, minimising operational disruption
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned to critical infrastructure environments
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relevant to mining and critical infrastructure sectors
  • Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to corporate and site-based staff
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, and OT teams to uplift overall security posture

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity or information security role, ideally within mining, resources, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, Essential Eight)
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Entra ID, SIEM/SOAR tools)
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT), SCADA, or industrial control systems (ICS) environments
  • Experience with endpoint protection, threat detection, and incident response
  • Solid understanding of network security, cloud security, and identity protection
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively under pressure
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, AZ-500, CISSP
