Cyber Security Lead

- Lead Cybersecurity Planning and Governance
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead to take ownership of cybersecurity operations, governance, threat detection, and incident response within a complex technology environment. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic security planning with operational security delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, playbooks, and security frameworks.
- Drive security compliance initiatives aligned with recognised standards and governance frameworks.
- Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to enhance security controls and reduce organisational risk.
- Provide expert security advice across technology projects, cloud platforms, and business initiatives.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience working as a Cybersecurity Lead
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight, and related governance standards.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Purview, and cloud security controls.
- Proven experience in threat hunting, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, SIEM technologies, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and vendor management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
