We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 security tools to enhance and deliver strategic security initiatives. In this role you will be focussed on delivering Cyber Security projects, drive security best practices, and contribute to organisation-wide IT resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Microsoft 365 security features to protect organisational data and systems
  • Conduct threat modelling to identify and mitigate risks
  • Develop and implement organisation-wide security best practices
  • Perform the hands-on delivery of Cyber Security projects within scope, budget and timeline
  • Review IT designs for compliance and risk mitigation
  • Maintain documentation, code repositories and ensure governance standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage external vendors to deliver tailored solutions

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science or related discipline is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 security products and threat modelling tools (E.g., Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra, Intune, Security Copilot)
  • Experience working in large organisations, preferably financial services or insurance
  • Knowledge of APRA CPS234, CPS230, PCI-DSS, NIST and CIS benchmarks (highly desirable!)
  • Strong background in Cloud and infrastructure security (AWS preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated approach to working

This opportunity is open to Perth and/or Sydney based working locations, however, you must hold fully unrestricted working rights for Australia to be considered.
