About the Role
This is a senior-level opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the cyber security architecture for a high-impact government program. As a Lead Cyber Security Architect, you will work on complex and sensitive projects, ensuring the security architecture aligns with organisational goals and supports critical reform initiatives.
Your duties will include:
- Designing and advising on cyber security architecture across multiple capabilities, including identity and access, cyber security operations, and public-facing systems.
- Developing IT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls to manage risks effectively.
- Supporting compliance with relevant standards such as PSPF, ISM, and Agency Risk Management Frameworks.
- Collaborating with project teams and subject matter experts to deliver secure solutions.
- Producing technical documentation and presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cyber security architecture, including governance, risk, and compliance.
- Proven ability to work in agile environments and adapt to changing project directions.
- Experience assessing risks and security standards in greenfield environments.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Government governance concepts, particularly in ICT policy and standards development.
- CISSP certification or equivalent (desirable).
- Demonstrated skills across all architecture domains, including business, information, security, data, technology, integration, and application (desirable).
