Cyber GRC Analyst
- Lead cyber risk, assurance and system authorisation across complex technology environments
- 12-month contract + 12-month extension
- Must hold a current Baseline security clearance or higher
Take on a senior cyber governance role where you’ll assess complex technology risks and help shape how systems achieve and maintain security authorisation.
You’ll work across Security Risk Assessments, Security Impact Assessments, SATO and broader assurance activities, partnering with project teams, cyber specialists and service providers across cloud, enterprise and emerging technology environments.
The Role
As a Cyber Security Adviser, you’ll provide practical risk and compliance advice across multiple projects and systems, helping ensure security requirements are understood and addressed throughout their lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting complex Security Risk Assessments (SRA) and Security Impact Assessments (SIA)
- Defining risk treatments and security control baselines to support system authorisation
- Interpreting findings from IRAP assessments, penetration testing and SOC 1/SOC 2 reports
- Reviewing third-party risk documentation and supporting broader security compliance and assurance
- Issuing, reviewing and re-evaluating Security Approval to Operate (SATO) and presenting security risk advice to executive stakeholders
About You
We’re particularly interested in:
- Strong experience conducting SRAs and SIAs, including threat modelling, risk treatment and control effectiveness assessments
- Strong knowledge of ISM, PSPF, NIST and ISO 27001
- Experience with security accreditation, system authorisation and compliance
- Cyber risk experience across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and SaaS
- The ability to translate technical security risks into clear advice for executive and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience operating across complex, multi-vendor environments
- Knowledge of emerging cyber risks across AI and mainframe
Why Consider the Opportunity?
This role gives you exposure to cyber risk across a broad technology landscape, rather than being focused on one system or security domain. You’ll assess everything from cloud and enterprise platforms through to emerging AI risks, while having direct involvement in the decisions that determine how systems achieve and maintain authorisation.
There’s also a strong stakeholder element, with opportunities to influence security outcomes across project teams, service providers and executive governance forums.
