Customer Development Manager- Electrical Distribution
We are working with a leading energy distribution company to recruit an experienced Customer Development Manager to manage major customer connections and network augmentation projects across Victoria.
This role requires a strong Electrical Engineering background, as you will be responsible for managing technically complex connection projects, interpreting network requirements, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver compliant and commercially viable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage major customer relationships and complex connection projects
- Act as the primary interface for customers on high-value, technically complex connections
- Oversee preparation and release of customer connection offers aligned to network capabilities
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across engineering, finance, and legal teams
- Translate technical network requirements into customer-ready solutions and proposals
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage project financials
- Oversee preparation of technical and financial documentation for internal approvals
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and network standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of connection processes and technical frameworks
Key Requirements
- Electrical Engineering qualification (essential)
- Proven experience within electricity distribution, transmission, or utilities environments
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, customer connections, and augmentation works
- Experience managing technically complex infrastructure or connection projects
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability
