Our client is delivering a nationally significant Defence capability program focused on next-generation autonomous aerospace technology. You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing team supporting critical Defence capability outcomes within a complex project environment.

About the role

As the Cost & Finance Analyst, you’ll provide specialist expertise in financial forecasting, cost estimation, cost modelling and commercial analysis to support a major Defence program. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll help shape financial decision-making, improve reporting capability and ensure strong financial governance across the program.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain project forecasts, cost estimates and financial models.

* Analyse cost drivers, trends and variances, providing meaningful financial insights.

* Support financial management across a complex Defence program.

* Provide financial and commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders.

* Support procurement activities through financial analysis of tenders and proposals.

* Ensure compliance with Defence financial frameworks, policies and governance.

* Improve financial reporting, modelling tools and processes.

* Build strong relationships with Defence and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

* Australian Citizenship with a current NV1 Security Clearance (essential).

* 5+ years’ experience in cost estimation, financial modelling or financial forecasting.

* Experience within Defence, Government or another complex project environment.

* Strong understanding of Defence financial management, costing frameworks and procurement processes.

* Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling and forecasting.

* Power BI or business intelligence reporting experience is highly regarded.

* Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Location: Amberley, QLD (On-site)

Contract: Initial contract through to 30 June 2027
