Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join their Construction Business. This is a permanent opportunity which requires 5 days a week in the office.. This role will manage a portfolio of suppliers and subcontractors. A key focus will be on building and maintaining strong stakeholder and supplier relationships to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee contracts across constructions materials suppliers.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors to drive successful outcomes.
  • Provide commercial and financial risk management, including accurate cost forecasting.
  • Analyse and interpret contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, implementing contract amendments or extensions as required.
  • Identify and address spend anomalies and manage contract authorised spend adjustments.
  • Produce timely and accurate service provider performance reports to inform financial and operational reporting.
  • Maintain contract documentation, reporting, and process governance.
  • Lead negotiations and ensure supplier alignment with project and business objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar contracts or procurement role within construction or related industries.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong background in contract, commercial, and financial risk management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier engagement.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
