About the Role:
As the Commercial & Procurement Specialist for the Program, you will be at the forefront of procurement strategies, providing expert advice and managing vendor relationships to ensure top-notch project execution. Your role will encompass contract management, stakeholder engagement, and performance evaluation, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of projects that enhance safety and efficiency in the aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial relationships with program vendors to meet contractual obligations.
  • Lead procurement activities, negotiations, and recommendations for service budget outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate contract management plans per client’s policies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve commercial disputes and optimize vendor performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create strategies to enhance program delivery.
  • Facilitate governance forums, report on commercial issues, and contribute to decision-making efforts.

Skills and Experience:

  • 12+ years of contract management and supplier performance experience in complex environments.
  • Proven skills in stakeholder engagement, risk management, and commercial advice.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of managing diverse teams.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a matrix environment and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline is required.
  • CIPS / Contract Management certification is highly regarded but not essential.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Be able to achieve and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance at the required level
