Commercial Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst. This role will take responsibility for the development and submission of financial claims, stakeholder engagement, and effective commercial management. This role will play a key part in supporting financial forecasting, claims reporting, and driving improvements in process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate integrated claims and variation estimates in collaboration with project and operations teams
- Lead the preparation and submission of financial claims to relevant authorities, including managing any re-submissions
- Maintain the Master Claims Register and track the status of claims across the program
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and reporting for variations and costs
- Ensure compliance with process requirements and maintain centralised documentation
- Drive process improvements to deliver efficiency and repeatable practices in claims management
- Support achievement of organisational KPIs and objectives
Key Requirements
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with proven experience in claims management or commercial analysis
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial forecasts, budgets, and business cases
- Ability to interpret contractual requirements and provide practical commercial solutions
- Skilled in coordinating information across multiple stakeholders and departments
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Experience working with SharePoint or similar systems
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or related discipline
- Background in transport, logistics, or other large, complex organisations
