
Cloud Security Assessor
- 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options.
- Onsite in Canberra, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory, with a minimum NV2
- Experience in security risk assessments, cloud security, and familiarity with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM).
Role

As a Senior Security Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of a Secret Cloud platform, working within a collaborative and agile team environment.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting security assessments of Cloud platform components, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) services, and related technologies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and defensible security assessment outcomes.
- Applying the Information Security Manual’s risk-based approach to conduct methodical security assessments.
- Identifying and assessing security controls and recommending additional measures to mitigate risks.
- Producing security assessment artefacts to support risk acceptance and authorisation decisions.
- Engaging with security authorities, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with program goals.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Proven experience in delivering security risk assessments for large, complex technology solutions.
- Strong communication skills to articulate security threats, risks, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adhering to established processes and priorities.
- Relevant IT security qualifications or certifications, such as Certified IRAP Assessor, CISA, GSNA, or a degree in Cyber Security.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools in delivering large-scale technology programs (desirable).
- Cloud platform security certifications (desirable).
