This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer to play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering modern, secure, and scalable cloud solutions within a complex enterprise environment. You will be instrumental in supporting cutting-edge AI initiatives and driving cloud adoption through a strategic, pattern-based engineering approach aligned with whole-of-government standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading the architecture, deployment, and ongoing management of cloud platforms
  • Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code standards and practices
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian Government security frameworks and policies
  • Driving automation to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead
  • Providing expert guidance on cloud strategy, governance, and emerging technologies
  • Mentoring technical teams and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver outcomes

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in cloud engineering and architecture within complex environments
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management in a government context
  • Proven experience with automation, orchestration, and containerisation technologies
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment

There is also a Cloud Engineer role reporting into the Senior Cloud Engineer available.
