Position Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, implementation and ongoing optimisation of secure enterprise cloud environments. Working within a highly technical team, you will deliver scalable cloud solutions, strengthen cloud security, and contribute to the successful delivery of critical ICT capabilities. This role is suited to professionals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges while working in a security-focused environment.

Key Duties

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions to meet complex business and technical requirements.
  • Manage, maintain and optimise enterprise cloud environments across performance, security and reliability.
  • Implement cloud security controls aligned with the PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Deploy and integrate Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies.
  • Design and deliver proof of concepts to evaluate emerging cloud security technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate cloud deployments.
  • Create automation scripts and integrate cloud infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Engage with cloud vendors to validate solution architectures and support technical decision-making.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience deploying and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, compute, storage and cloud-native services.
  • Proven experience implementing cloud security controls aligned with the ISM and Essential Eight.
  • Experience translating business requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
  • Advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills and cloud automation experience.
  • Experience developing operational automation and security orchestration scripts.
  • Strong experience integrating cloud infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
