Change Manager (EL1 Level)
Our client is a large values-focused Federal Government Agency seeking an experienced EL1 Change Manager to lead organisational change activities across software development / IT projects.
This role will suit someone with strong enterprise change experience who can develop audience-led change strategies, communications, engagement, training and support activities to help leaders and teams successfully adopt change.
ROLE DETAILS:
Location: Melbourne or Geelong VIC
Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension option
Working arrangement: Hybrid (2/3 split)
Eligibility: Australian Citizenship mandatory
Closes: Tuesday 1st September
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You’ll lead change management activities that support business process, technology, role and organisational change. The role will involve change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, resistance management, communication planning, training support and risk identification across a complex program environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic, inclusive change strategies, communications and content aligned to organisational objectives.
- Build strong relationships with ICT delivery teams, business areas, people leaders, communications teams and external stakeholders.
- Deliver change outcomes on schedule, within budget and aligned to program goals.
- Conduct detailed change impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Identify and manage resistance to change through proactive engagement and interventions.
- Support business areas and leaders with communication materials so they can act as effective change champions.
- Identify and escalate reputational or communication risks and support mitigation activities.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- 5+ years’ experience leading enterprise-wide change within software development or IT projects.
- Strong experience planning, executing and evaluating change management activities.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, including assessing change impacts and developing mitigation strategies.
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across senior management, project teams and end users.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs to support change initiatives.
Strongly Preferred: experience in health, disability or social services; change management qualifications/certification.
